Kaitlin and Joseph’s wedding at The Hillsboro Club was a perfectly modern beach escape. We kept a very minimal, neutral color palette to really let the tropical beach venue shine. Beautiful Kreations did an amazing job with the floral arrangements throughout the day. After their big day, Kaitlin sent me some of her advice for future couples planning their own weddings.
“Pick vendors you adore and believe in, entrust them with your wishes and vision, and then take a deep breath. Although it’s much easier said than done, my best advice to brides-to-be is to relax, relinquish a little control, and let the vendors you specially picked to do what they do best. It’s true what they say — the day will be the fastest of your life! So spend less time worrying if every last little detail is perfectly executed and more time soaking up every sweet moment with your new husband and the friends and family who are there to celebrate you. I promise that the small stuff won’t be important once all is said and done! At the beginning of the wedding planning process, choose what elements are most important to you and focus on bringing those to life. For us, a packed dance floor was high on our list of “must haves” — so Allison recommend that we bring in a DJ and live instrumentals to really bring the party! Mission accomplished — our guests were on the dance floor from the minute the doors opened! Another one of our priorities was a laid-back and “Florida” vibe, to reflect our personalities and relationship — so Allison recommended steel drums and custom branded coconuts with rum punch for the cocktail hour. I was racing through post-ceremony photos to get there and soak it all in! Add in a fun “extra” to make your wedding stand out and give guests something to rave about.” – Kaitlin, bride.
