Rehearsal Dinner

Venue: Mr C’s Coconut Grove | Photographer: Love Flora and Fauna | Florist: Petal Productions

Refined, sophisticated elegance was the theme for Mary Katherine and Scott’s stunning wedding weekend. We kicked off the festivities by planning a beautiful, coastal rehearsal dinner for their closest friends and family over at Mr. C’s in Coconut Grove. Mary Katherine had her mother’s wedding dress reworked into a gorgeous rehearsal dinner dress. The room was filled with love and laughter as we headed into the weekend.

Welcome Party

After the rehearsal dinner, more guests joined the couple and their families at The Biltmore for a welcome party. To contrast the crisp, clean feel of the wedding day to come, we brought in tons of color and tropical party vibes. Guests were serenaded by one of our favorite steel drum players in South Florida, Bob Lyons. Scott and Mary Katherine had welcome bags for guests with each item handpicked by the couple. Before we knew it, the night was coming to a close and it was time to get ready for the big day ahead.

Wedding Day

Everything about the wedding day was absolutely breathtaking. Mary Katherine and her girls were glammed up by ECW Hair and Makeup and then whisked away for portraits. Mary Katherine had a beautiful first look with both her dad and Scott, where we all shed a few happy tears. The ceremony was held at First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables, and after the vows were exchanged, the newlyweds were led to their limo with colored pom poms representing each of their alma maters (University of Florida and University of Tennessee). The decor for the day was timeless and elegant with lush white florals and a black tie dress code. The reception glowed in candle light during the formal dances, and was lit up to the nines once the party was really started. Congratulations to Mary Katherine and Scott- a truly beautiful couple inside and out!
