When a wedding is planned around sunshine, sea breezes, and sharing good food under the stars with your favorite people, magic is inevitable. That’s exactly what happened at Maddie and Phil’s dreamy outdoor celebration in the heart of the Florida Keys.

For Phil and his family, Key Largo isn’t just a vacation destination—it’s home for half the year. Naturally, it was the first place the couple thought of when dreaming up their ideal wedding weekend. “We love coming down to visit,” the bride shared, “and one of our favorite spots for a drink and food is the Lorelei,”—the location that set the tone for their laid-back, tropical welcome party.

When it came time to choose a venue, they stumbled upon Cheeca Lodge and the Casitas Beach, and it was “love at first sight.” The couple envisioned a wedding that felt like a relaxed evening out with friends—nothing too formal, and definitely all outdoors. “We didn’t want a tent,” the bride said. “We wanted to be surrounded by palm trees and enjoy the beautiful weather.” And that’s exactly what they got.

Ditching the traditional whites and greens, the couple embraced a bright and fun palette inspired by beachy sunsets and tropical florals. Their love of color shined through in every detail—from vibrant pink floral arrangements to the custom wooden bar and tables that brought warmth and texture to the open-air space.

Instead of a traditional cake, the couple leaned into local flavor, serving Key lime pie—a sweet nod to their tropical surroundings and a favorite in the Florida Keys.

This wedding was everything the couple dreamed of: outdoors, relaxed, joyful, and full of color and heart. With no tent overhead and nothing but palm trees, ocean breeze, and good company, it felt less like an event and more like a celebration of love, life, and everything in between.
